B7 access policy
If cost is in the way, take it anyway.
This is the policy across every B7 Collective release, not just this one. The work has to be useful, and it has to reach the families it is built for. If $97 is the thing standing between your student and the practice, the price is wrong. We do not need the money more than your kid needs the work.
Email hello@b7collective.com with one or two sentences about your situation. We do not need proof. We will send you the PDF.
If you can pay $97 comfortably, please do. Your purchase is what makes this policy possible. The toolkit reaches more families because the buyers cover the gift copies.
Frequently asked
Fourteen questions, answered straight.
Who is this toolkit for?
Homeschool parents are the primary buyer. The toolkit is shaped for one or more middle or high school students working at the kitchen table.
Microschool teachers, co-op leaders, and private tutors each have a dedicated appendix that adapts the drills to their setting. Appendix A is for multi-child families. Appendix B is for microschools. Appendix C is for co-ops. Appendix D is for tutors.
What ages is it for?
Grades 6 through 12. Roughly ages 11 to 18. Each capacity section has its own age-band reference page: 11 to 13, 14 to 16, and 17 to 18. The bands describe what strong work looks like at each stage and let you calibrate which drills to start with.
Age bands are guides, not gates. A student works at whichever band fits their actual capacity, which may or may not match their birthday.
How much time does each drill take?
Each drill takes 25 to 45 minutes. Most also include an optional 10-minute AI Extension at the end. You do not have to run the AI Extension for the drill to work.
Most families run twelve to twenty-five drills in a year and skip the rest. There is no requirement to finish all fifty-two.
Do I need an AI subscription to use this?
No. The free tier of Claude or ChatGPT is sufficient for most students. The toolkit explicitly accommodates free-tier limits with a free-tier discipline section in the AI Setup chapter.
The drills also work without any AI at all if you choose to skip the AI Extensions. The core practice happens on paper. AI is the optional ten minutes at the end.
Which AI tool should I use?
Claude is the primary recommendation. ChatGPT is the workable secondary. Both work with the system prompt the toolkit provides. The AI Setup chapter walks you through configuring either one.
Pick one, set it up once, and use it for the year. Switching mid-year is friction without payoff.
Do I need a printer?
Yes. The drills are designed to be printed and written on by hand. The pages have specific writing space with gold-line rules in the answer areas. Writing by hand is part of the method, not a stylistic preference.
A basic black-and-white printer is sufficient. The drills do not require color printing.
Can I use this with multiple children?
Yes. The single-household license covers all students in your household. Appendix A handles multi-child differentiation, including how to run the same drill simultaneously with two students at different age bands.
Do I have to do all fifty-two drills?
No. Most families run twelve to twenty-five drills in a year and skip the rest. The toolkit is unsequenced on purpose. Drills do not depend on each other. Pick the drills that fit your student. Skip what does not.
The book does not need to be finished.
Is it aligned to standards?
Yes. Every drill is mapped to specific anchor standards from three frameworks: Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts grades 6 to 12, ISTE Standards for Students, and AASL National School Library Standards.
The full drill-by-drill mapping is in Appendix F. Each entry names the standard, specifies the grade band, and cites the exact moment in the drill where the alignment lives.
Can a microschool or co-op buy one license and use it across the school?
The single-household license does not cover institutional use. An Instructor Edition with appropriate licensing is available at $149.
Email foundationsplusai@b7collective.com for details on the Instructor Edition.
What if I cannot afford $97?
Email hello@b7collective.com. The B7 access policy is straightforward: if cost is in the way, take it anyway. We will work it out. No proof of need required.
This policy is real, not a marketing line. Several copies of every B7 release go out free each month.
Do I get free updates?
Yes, for the first year. The AI tools change every few months. The AI Setup chapter is updated to reflect current best practices on the major tools. Updates are sent to the email address used at purchase.
What is B7 Collective?
B7 Collective is the publisher of this toolkit. Foundations + AI is the third release, alongside Lessons with Mr. B (a literature curriculum) and Build Something Good (a maker-track project series).
